Basset is a decorative font family. The analog version was originally designed by Pat Hickson for QBF in Manchester, England, and was redrawn and digitally produced by Steve Jackaman (ITF) in 1997.  Jackaman also created three additional weights to complement the original five.

Basset is commonly used at display sizes, and possesses a geometric, futuristic feel.  The family would be right at home emblazoned on the side of a spaceship, or for any project that might benefit from loud and proud fonts.
