Packard Old Style is a serif font family that has an antique, rustic feel. It performs equally well in both display and text. In 1916, Oswald Cooper of American Type Founders (ATF) created Packard Old Style for the Packard Motor Company. Morris F. Benton, also of ATF, is credited with adapting the original weight and creating an additional bold weight. Steve Jackaman (ITF) and Ashley Muir created Packard Old Style in 2011, and developed a sister font family, Packard New Style. Several swashes were developed for added versatility and beauty.
