Veronese is a serif font family. Originally designed by Monotype in 1911 for J.M. Dent’s Everyman’s Library, it was inspired by Nicolas Jenson’s Venetian roman type and William Morris’s Golden Type. Steve Jackaman (ITF) digitally revived and expanded the family for the Red Rooster Collection in 1993. Veronese features strong slab serifs, clean lines, and balanced proportions, making it ideal for editorial design, book covers, and formal invitations. The Red Rooster release includes multiple weights and condensed styles, offering versatility for both text and display applications.
